Family

We previewed an early screening last week of Incredibles 2 and it is INCREDIBLE!!! The family of five is back after 14 years with laughs, thrills, and plenty of fun, new characters you’ll be sure to love (with some you might have disdain for). The opening scene with the Walt Disney Castle Logo Incredible theme is AMAZING!

ABOUT THE MOVIE:

In INCREDIBLES 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

“Done properly, parenting is a heroic act.”  – Edna Mode

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Expect to laugh a lot. I recommend getting your original Incredibles DVD out and re-watching that with your family because it starts off right where that one left off with The Underminer and Violet & Tony. It’s fantastic and thrilling, just as you’d expect from the Parr family!

Lil’ Jack-Jack is a scene stealer. He is slap-stick funny! And when he gets together with Edna Mode (my favorite character) it’s beyond THE BEST!

Pixar movies are always keeping it real. There’s a really poignant line at the end from Violet that I appreciated being in there for it’s trueness. I love that Pixar Directors and Writers are not afraid to put real life into their films – it makes them more relatable. Once again, Pixar, you did it; Incredibles 2 stole my heart.

CHARACTERS:

All of the Parrs are back: Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack. As well as their pal, Frozone. Plenty of new Supers are introduced. The Villians, well, they are decievingly good, too.

CAN YOUR WILDERNESS EXPLORERS SEE THIS MOVIE?Russell

Yes, this movie is for kids of ALL ages. Everyone will enjoy this movie! This is a happy, laugh, happy-cry, feel-good movie.

There are a couple minor jump scares and also a scene with Mrs. Incredible that has intense blinking effects. Some people with sensory issues or the risk of seizures may find this to be too much and may want to cover their eyes with their hands (closing your eyes might not be enough).

Everyone go see Incredibles 2, please.
