Marvel Studios’ GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

We were able to see an early screening of Marvel Studios’ GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 the other night and let me share with you, it is HILARIOUS!

I will admit, I was not THE biggest fan in the galaxy of the first one (sorry fellow fans) BUT I am now! Like I really, really am! Like, so much that I cannot wait to see this one again AND purchase GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 on DVD! This is a movie I can watch over and over again. The laugh factor is huge.

My takeaways:

– I miss the 90’s when we used to take the time and make “Mixed Tapes” of our favorite songs of the time. I want to do this right now and give it to my littles. But, I will include music not just from current times, I will include music from my past, music that made me feel emotion and got me through my childhood years.

– Drax is both hilarious and incitful: His belly laughs are THE best. There are two types of people in this world. Which one are you?

– You can be a fan starting at a sequel. I am proof.

– You don’t always have to have a favorite character in every movie. I like the Guardians of the Galaxy crew as a whole. I also am intrigued by Nebula and Ayesha.

I may have guessed what scene the Imagineers are using as they transform The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Can your Wilderness Explorers see this movie?

We screened this movie without taking our littles. I’m glad we did because it is a little too adult for them. Why? It has some adult humor and language, but, also, it’s the scare factor. There are some characters and fight scenes that would be too intense for them. I’d say if your littles were at least 12 years old or older they should be okay. Of course, you as the parent are the best at judging what is right for your family, so if you are questioning this at all, go to a screening beforehand.

So, did I give 5 out of 5 balloons?

Yes. It is MARVEL-ously funny! Go see it now. If you have littles, see if first if they are young. We absolutely LOVED it and will be seeing again ASAP! It is full of laugh out loud jokes and gorgeous cinematic visual effects. It’s Comic book done right. Be sure to stay for ALL the Easter Egg clips at the end, like the Hoff, you want to hear the wise words from the Hoff-man. Am-I-Right?!?!
